Splashes of Hope relies almost entirely upon the generosity and dedication of sponsors in order to accomplish its projects and bring color and joy into the lives of hospital patients.

If you decide to underwrite a project we show our appreciation by incorporating your name into the mural in a fun and friendly manner.  For example, to exhibit your sponsorship, we often include a “Sponsor Ship,” with sails decorated with your name or logo.  Otherwise we may especially design a character to parade a banner with your name or include it in a special structural element.  You will also be added to our list of sponsors, to appear on our website immediately and in our brochure at its next printing.

Aside from the ways in which we show our thanks, know that you will have the gratitude of countless patients and their families, doctors, and nursing staff as you brighten their experiences by bringing therapeutic artwork into their medical treatments.

In August 2008 Splashes of Hope was able to create uplifting murals for the Children’s Heart Center of New Mexico through the generous sponsorship of our dear friend, Robert J. Bigler. Mr. Bigler underwrote the mural project as a legacy to his wife, Gail Bigler.

The project was also made possible through paint donation by Benjamin Moore and by the sponsorship of Southwest Airlines, who flew the artists to New Mexico and sent their own team of volunteers to assist with mural varnishing and installation through their Share the Spirit program.  Plasma Automation Inc. and Catherine and Russ Brown also contributed in part to the colorful mural project, bringing comfort to the children visiting UNM Hospital.
