SPLASHTASTIC EVENTS + PROJECTS!
The sunny Floridian Chapter ramped up activity in the month of February! Catherine and Russ Brown initiated a mural project for a special little girl who is currently battling Leukemia.
|
Fellow artists from the Brown's community in Naples have gotten involved to lend their talents to the splash mission to create artwork for this inspiring child's bedroom.
|
Catherine's talented art teacher and wonderful friend, Bill Kreutz, has generously donated his amazing painting (pictured) to Splashes of Hope. Splashes of Hope will raffle off this painting to raise funds for a mural at the Tampa VA.
|
Our intention is to use elements of this magnificent painting in our mural, which will be placed in a residents' section of the VA, which houses Korean and Vietnam war veterans. Jimmy Knapp and Russ Brown made a site visit to assess the space. More details to follow!

We were so happy to deliver 50 Friend on the Mend Gift Bags to Cohen Children's Medical Center!
Thanks again to our friends at Dealertrack for their sponsorship. Your generosity will bring joy and comfort to all the young patients receiving this special gift. |
We'd also like to thank the Dynasty Brush Company for their awesome paint brushes and for rallying our west coast talent! Much gratitude to the wonderful artists pictured (Allen, Ellen, Stephanie, and Marianne) for coming to lend their time and talent to the murals for Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego. Welcome to the Splashes family, your contributions are very much appreciated! |

On October 30th a "Splash" was made at The Home for Little Wanderers in Roslindale, Massachusetts.
Take a look at our video as we showcase and thank the generous sponsors that allowed this project to happen. Through their kindness, we were able to transform the stairwell and hallway at the Preschool Outreach Program with 21 original, hand-painted hot air balloons. |
"A huge thank you to you both and the rest of your staff and volunteers who worked on the Preschool Outreach Program project! You really transformed our space there. Paul and I were blown away by what you all were able to do in the space. The painting you did on the spot on Monday was so beautiful. All the balloon pieces you brought clearly had been given so much thought and were so detailed." ~ Chelsea, Home for Little Wanderers
"My kids keep commenting on how colorful they are! They also like that some of them are at kid level so they can look closely and also touch them." ~ Paul, Home For Little Wanderers |
