The mission of ACLD is to support the pursuit of an enviable life for people with developmental disabilities. ACLD is committed to providing a continuum of services to children from ages three to twenty-one including educational services, family support services, transition from school to work and service coordination. The Alan and Ellen Spiegel Children’s Center will be the home of ACLD’s learning and recreation programs and services for children with autism and developmental disabilities, as well as for typical developing children and teens across Long Island. In addition to pre-school, universal pre-K and after school programs, the Great South Bay YMCA will offer a Summer Recreation Program and Camp experience at the Center.
