What a fantastic time at Paint Night at the Castle on October 28th! Everyone had their creative hats on, and took part in ‘Painting for a Purpose!’ We painted underwater murals on ceiling tiles, to be donated and installed within a children’s hospital. We were also delighted to have Legislator Dr. William Spencer join us. Paint Night is made possible through a grant from his Legislative Office. The murals we worked on were sponsored by the Laurence W. Levine Foundation, to be donated to the Children's Specialized Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. Thanks for ‘Painting for a Purpose’ with the Splash Team!

Friends and family of Dynasty Brush came together with the team at Splashes of Hope to paint ceiling tiles and murals that they sponsored for our Operation Strengthen Campaign. Not only do we love working with their brushes and paints but their talented volunteers transformed the plain white ceiling tiles into beautiful hand painted works of art, for veterans to enjoy each and every day.
Thank you to our sponsors The FM Brush Company Inc. and Blick Art Materials, and to Dynasty's very own Greg and Jacqueline Mink Cooper for keeping their father Fred Mink's spirit of giving alive in all of us . |

From CA Technologies:
CA Together , our Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) program at CA Technologies, is dedicated to improving the lives of underserved children and communities. We do this by supporting organizations, programs, and initiatives that enrich the lives and well-being of people everywhere, with a primary focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education. This week in NY our colleagues used paint brushes to help transform clinical setting into colorful, soothing and more healing environment by working with Splashes Of Hope Inc to create several murals and ceiling tiles to benefit the pediatric units at Bellevue Hospital in NYC. |

Splashes Of Hope was awarded a grant from the Huntington Arts Council, Inc. We were very excited! We used this grant to have the public participate in the creative painting process of a professionally designed and outlined mural during the Hecksher Park Tulip Festival.

On June 2, 2017, twenty Eisner Amper employees participated in a corporate volunteer day at Splashes of Hope. The volunteers were divided into 5 “tribes”, each participating in a specific mission. The "white buffalo tribe" primed panels for future murals and painted baskets for the 8th Annual Bay Cruise. The "red bear tribe" used their brawn, all day long. The "blue butterflies" assembled our Bay Cruise swag bags. The "sunny sunshine tribe" painted in the art studio for the Home for Little Wanderers project. The "green moose tribe" varnished completed murals and filled pallets with paint. Much was accomplished by these generous, helping hands, and the Splashes of Hope team is very grateful to them.
This day of volunteering would not have been possible if not for the leadership of Christine Gagnon, an employee of Eisner Amper, as well as a respected Board Member of Splashes of Hope. Christine has been an engaged member of our board for many years. She has served as an officer as well as the chair of Splashes of Hope’s incredible 20th Anniversary Gala. We congratulate Christine and her family on their upcoming move to Florida. Although the NY Headquarters will miss seeing the Gagnons, we are excited for them to join our existing Florida chapter. We know that Christine and her family will continue to support and promote Splashes of Hope from their new location. Florida just got a little sunnier! |

The Splash Team rallied for Cancer Survivor Day this past Sunday at the Stony Brook Cancer Center. Thanks to Jacqueline Mink Cooper and Dynasty Brush Co. for the face painting brushes to put smiles on little faces.
The Laurence W. Levine sponsors this weekly program at the Stony Brook Children's Cancer Center. Artist Sandy Romano paints the hands of little patients to take their minds off their medical concerns. Whether it's a butterfly on a cheek or a car on the hand, it helps distract and comfort children waiting to be seen by a doctor or receiving chemotherapy. |
We were THRILLED to announce that we were the recipients of the award from the Long Island Children's Choir!!! None of this could’ve happened without all of our supporters casting their votes in support of Splashes of Hope! We joined them at their Spring Concert Charity on Saturday, June 17 at the Tilles Center, where the proceeds from the event were donated to Splashes of Hope. The event was attended by Splashes Of Hope’s Project Manager and Mural Artist, Sarah Baecher, as well as Board Member, Lesley Logue.
Also pictured is Sarah with Lisa Gatti, the Founder of fellow Long Island non-profit, Pal-O-Mine Equestrian. We are so thankful for our community and Splash Supports, making this wonderful opportunity a reality! |
